Rose Care & Advice
- Prepare the planting soil thoroughly, ensuring it is well drained.
- Follow planting instructions carefully.
- Never allow the roots to get dry as most failures are due to this.
- Prune in March/early April. Follow instructions and cut out all dead material.
- Feed in April and again in June using a good quality Rose fertiliser.
- If you have the time, cutting off blooms that have flowered will produce many more new flowers later.
- If aphids are a real problem and you feel you need to spray with a chemical, then follow the advice on the pack carefully. Washing off aphids with a hose or a little soapy water may be sufficient in a small garden.
